FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions Find answers to common inquiries about our Basic Obedience Training course and how to get the most out of your training experience.

  • I have an adult dog ,can he still be trained or is it too late ?

Yes of course he can be trained .Our training system is appropriate for all ages and breeds.

  • I have never trained a dog before,do you think that by taking your course I will be able to train my dog?

Yes ,of course you will succeed at training your dog. No prior experience required. Follow our step by step instructions and you will successfully train your dog.

  • How long will it take me to train my dog?

That depends on many factors. How quickly your dog learns, his age and the time you will invest in training him. Let us assume that your dog is an adult dog with no prior experience and you train him 10 minutes a day, everyday. It will take 30-40 days on average.

  • How much time do I need to spend every day to train my dog ?

Ten minutes a day if you train every day is enough. Ideally two training sessions per day.(10 minutes per session).

  • If I have difficulty understanding something how can I communicate with you?

Through our community. Post your question there and we will answer as soon as possible.

  • I have teached my dog some commands ,can I continue training using your method?

Yes you can continue training using our method. If you haven't used a clicker with training or haven't trained some of the initial steps of our method, you should follow the first training steps and then proceed to teaching new commands.

  • What training methods do you use ? Do I need to buy specific equipment ?

We work using positive reinforcement. You already have most of the tools (leash, collar, treat pouch). You may need a clicker if you don't have one. You will also need a platform to teach the place command. You can buy one (average cost 25-30 euro)or you can use a thick mat you already have.

  • What am I going to learn through this course?

You will learn how to teach your dog all the basic obedience commands ,plus the fetch and out commands(bonus material). Obedience training will offer new opportunities for learning to both the dog and the handler. Applying the basic obedience commands to your everyday life will make it more enjoyable and easy. The training process will make the bond between handler and dog stronger. You will teach your dog the commands :Sit,Down,Stay,Come,Place,Heel and loose leash walking. You will both enjoy your walks together as the dog will not be pulling and will walk on a loose leash. The dog will walk by your left side (heel command) when in busy places and crowded areas. The dog will learn to sit and remain calm while you put the leash on. That means no more wrestling before going out for a walk. You give the command, the dog sits and waits for you to put the leash on, and off you go. You let your dog free on the dog park and call him to come to you when it is time to leave. No more chasing your dog at the park. Most of us are not so fast and having to chase a dog is not fun at all. You give the dog the place and stay command when the door bell rings and he stays at his place while you pay for your pizza. No more terrorizing the delivery guy. And the list goes on and on. Everyone decides for himself and his personal needs and lifestyle how to use the basic obedience commands in their every day life with their dog.
